We are a distribution-focused social enterprise, providing access to clean energy solutions and inclusive consumer financing solutions, through a last-mile distribution agent network that sells modular decentralized, scalable solar energy systems and productive use appliances on Pay-AS-You-Go model to rural off-grid communities.

Our business model is designed around products (solar home system), physical distribution hub (solar-powered energy/agro hub), sales and technical team (agents of light), PayGo (Hardware and Software technology), and digital financial services (agency banking & mobile money).

We recruit, and train locals to become our agents of light, that are employed to manage the energy hub operations in the host communities. Our agents are responsible for distributing solar home systems distribution, managing customer payments, and other energy hub services such as battery recharging, cold room storage, digital financial services, and agro-processing hubs for locally harvested crops, thereby replacing expensive modes of milling using fossil fuel.
To currently scale our operations, we partner with solar home product manufacturers/ and mini-grid developers, to offer three financing options (direct sales, lease-to-own, and energy-as-a-service), for customers (mostly farmers) interested in purchasing solar-powered products. We also collaborate with the local farmers association to aggregate demand and to also ensure that we get credible people that are least likely to default on payments
